Eye of the Word Festival (Festival Oko besede)
2020 Special Distinction
Argo, the Society for Humanist Issues received the special distinction for organising Eye of the Word (Oko besede). The festival annually brings together Slovenian children’s literature authors, literary scholars, librarians, reading mentors, publishers and other people active in the field of children’s literature.
Damjana Mustar
2020 Special Distinction
Damjana Mustar is reading promoter for all generations. She is, among other, the leader of a previously awarded project Wisely Reading and Chatting (Modro brati in kramljati), which deals with the promotion of reading among the elderly and across generations.
Agica Kovše
2020 Special Distinction
Agica Kovše si a dedicated librarian and storyteller. She collects and shares, both with children and adults, the local legends, stories and myths from the Pohorje region, thus importantly enriching the narrative tradition in Slovenia.
